Imagine This With the Scent of the Beach

Many people who have made the decision to join Scentsy and become familiar with its products will at some point adopt a particular fragrance as their favorite. In my case, I have adopted “Beach” scent as my favorite. I cannot help but be reminded of that Seinfeld episode where Kramer pitches the idea of a beach scented cologne inspired by the scent of his skin after he spent the day at the beach. I know from personal experience that my skin has a very pleasant and unique scent after visiting the beach. I am not sure if the scent comes from swimming in the salt water, being toasted in the sun or a combination of the two. The air itself at the beach carries its own pleasing scent.

When I smell Scentsy’s “Beach” scent I am reminded of the sound of waves crashing rhythmically along the shore mixed with the cries of seagulls flying overhead. There are odors which only exist at the beach including seaweed, fish and the mud of sand bars. Some of these scents are not entirely pleasant but when put in the context of the beach milieu even the most pungent odor of rotting fish carries with it a certain sense of adventure.

The ocean is vast and full of possibilities. It is a surface upon which to travel to distant lands. It is dark and deep and filled with mysterious creatures. It can be peaceful and calm or raging and dangerous. When I visit the beach and swim in the waves my mind clears and I am at peace. When I dig in the sand and build castles I return to my youth. As I get older, I have found the beach to be one of the few places where I can go to clear my head, truly relax and be in the moment. Perhaps this is why, ever since I made the decision to join Scentsy, I have adopted “Beach” as my favorite scent.
